I am not bashing gays here. But I don't get it. Probably because I am not a gay male. If they get enough people to support it, wonderful. But me.... I grew up with grease and still watch it at least once a year. I prefer the other one.
I don't see the point in turning a classic upside down to make some sort of social point. I think it does the gay cause harm because it's more likely that those who still don't accept gay lifestyles will be even less likely to be sympathetic because it looks they are forcing the lifestyle into a heterosexual classic.
It would be the same thing if Grease was redone as a Christian musical where the basic theme was God. There would be lots of screams from Hollywood for sure.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
