Rick Perry's Spectacular Fall From Grace

Has any top-tier presidential candidate in history ever imploded quite this quickly?

Comment below the article: I'm surprised he even got in the race to begin with. Did he seriously think the country right now was going to look around and say "hey, who we really want for president is *another* dimwitted, yeehaw-ing governor from Texas."

I wouldn't count him dead yet. He has made some major miscues, but still has a base, and these issues exposed early, means he has time to regain his support.

Already the press has moved onto Cain, and are digging up what they can on him.

I thought with the new media, the mainstream press would count for less, but the way they have attacked Palin, Bachmann, Perry, and now Cain, while refusing to do the same for Obama may make the true king makers the leftist press.

Can anyone say "Howard Dean"???

Too bad future generations aren't here to see all the great things we are spending their $$ on!!

Howard Dean is a good example, so is Guiliani.

But Howard IIRC had just flamed out in Iowa and you could hear his frustration.

So far Perry has mainly fallen asleep in debates. He backtracked on the HPV mandate.
