This is a great look into a younger Clinton and Cain...man I wish I would have seen this sooner. I do see How Clinton got so much respect economy wise...even though his numbers were wrong, he did know how to make on the fly calculations. Then I wonder if Obama would be capable of speaking like Clinton without a prompter and figuring percentages at the same time....

But seriously, I'd love to see an Obama/Cain debate were there are economics involved. I don't believe Obama will have enough time to really learn math, but at least he knows how to say it.

Ok, go ahead and rip me (sticks and stones up yur ass) or lets talk about this little meeting...anyone?

I'll agree, both guys looked great with the numbers, even if not correct (not that I know what was incorrect). Clinton got hit with the question, and he had to wing it though, so he was in the tougher position. But I can't say who won there, I'll leave it to you or someone else. Both did well, IMO.

But Cain is running now and suggesting we abolish our tax code and go with his 9-9-9 tax plan and leaving Social Security for a private plan like Chile. He hasn't been a front runner and has been given a pass so far (unlike Rick Perry), but he will have to explain this stuff if he is truely in the race. Reports said he was about to quit, untill he got this recent push in the polls.

Perry got killed for suggesting privatizing Social Security. Cain will get the same heat if he's a serious candidate. And I think his 9-9-9 plan isn't explained in enough detail, but from what I see that would be a HUGE tax increase for the low income people, a very big tax increase for the middle class, and a HUGE tax cut for the rich. We can get into more details later, if you wish.

This is more about thevideo than it is about anything else. Cain knows what he's talking about here and Clinton got schooled imo. There's many reasons why Hillarycare went down and this is one ofthe...bad or omitted numbers.

As for Cain's economic plan, I see it as a simliifed base as to where to begin. I don't think he spent millions on an economic team before he rolled that out, but it's a simplified way to end loopholes and downsize the bloated and inefficient IRS. Cain has been a leader for a long time and it shows. Obama better hurry up in that department.

Well, I think Clinton held his own in that exchange, like I said both guys did well. But that was years ago and I'm not that intense enough to look up all the details. Cain has a math degree, I believe, and I respect that. Oh, wait, conservatives here don't seem to respect degrees. Sorry.

But OK, I'll wait to discuss the 9-9-9 plan.

I'm just glad to have a nice discussion here. Thanks CB!

No thank you. Kinda refreshing to be able to talk without the usual sniping half way through by the morons on both sides.
