Lawmaker wants state to reinstate dwarf tossing

It's a Florida law. I'm fine with Floridians deciding what's best for them.

Comparing this to dog fights? Seriously? Women degrade themselves on stripper poles daily in front of men (some men) who pay for that entertainment. A dwarf is just a smaller person...they can CHOOSE to live their lives with dignity, or some may decide to use their size for attention or financial gain. And I think you assume that just because I think they have that right, it's something I would get my kicks from watching. Wrong

You know I thought this was an interesting story and that is why I posted it but I am sad at what this thread turned into.

I had an employee that was a little person, that is what they said they prefer to be called. He was the sweetest guy and he died a month after he quit and had to go down to a lower elevation because he was having breathing issues. His wife was devastated. He was a fantastic worker and I just adored him and his wife.

You guys need to get a grip and stop making fun of the people. They can choose but there is no reason to make fun of their disability. In another thread recently, I said that being overweight was the last acceptable prejudice. People have no shame and make fun of people that are over weight. I guess this thread just proved me wrong.

You know you've sunk pretty low when debasing others is the only way you can feel good about yourself. God created all of us in his image. When you mock others appearances you are mocking God.

I guess I haven't seen anyone on here making fun of anyone (or I missed it). If an 800 bl women gets paid to pose nude for a magazine that exploits large women, should the women be outlawed from doing it?
