Can we celebrate the spirit of adventure in our explorers? nope. They all hurt someone when they got there in one way or another. We need to learn to stay put, and let our asses get fat in our lazy boys.
"Whatever you are, be a good one." ~ Abraham Lincoln
I remember the day very well- I was on my way downtown to work and heard KOA remind everyone that parking at the meters was free. When I left work- I had three parking tickets on my windshield.
I waited in line with hundreds of pissed off people at my hearing date, and I tied up the court for 45 minutes with my tirade. I had to argue each ticket's validity with the court. The judge wound up dismissing two of them within 20 minutes- so I spent 25 more minutes arguing the 3rd ticket. She offered to cut the 3rd ticket fine by 50%- so I kept on arguing.
The 20 bucks they collected from me was a drop in the bucket compared to the tax money they could have collected from me over the years if I had not quit shopping in the city as I explained to the judge- so they got their 20 bucks and I started shopping "anywhere but in Denver".
I eventually found a better job outside of Denver too- so I don't even really need to go into Denver for any reason any more, except maybe just to pass through.

The government workers where I'm working now don't get it as a holiday... Ooopsie... Another bullsh*t generalization down the tubes.
Congratulations... The post offices (federal) are closed... So are the courts... So are Colorado state & county offices... Your generalization suggested ALL government offices are closed... They aren't...
But you keep trying, Sparkie... One day you're sure to be right...
