The Obama administration cut a major planned benefit from the 2010 health-care law on Friday, announcing that a program to offer Americans insurance for long-term care was simply unworkable.
Although the program had been dogged from the start by doubts about its feasibility, its elimination marks the first time the administration has backed away from a key piece of President Obama’s signature legislative achievement.
Interesting that the Pres. can cancel part of a piece legislation passed by congress. Makes you wonder what else can be changed without congress approval?
Similar Long term care insurance is already available in the private market.
Nursing home costs are probably going to break Medicaid if nothing changes in the next couple decades. Nursing homes are closing because the states do not pay them enough to stay in business.

Republicans are red, democrats are blue, neither of them, gives a flip about you.
Is this the beginning of the end of Obama care? How ironic that Barry himself is the one to start pulling bits and pieces out of his own plan... Obama care, yes we can! Sorry Barry, it turns out NO YOU CAN'T!
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

I was going to make this point as well. It seems to set a precedent for a future President to subtract even more, or all of it.
And the underfunding of the CLASS Act is no surprise and has been well known. In fact I posted about it months ago.
