Any of this equipment could have been booby-trapped rather than stolen. While I'm not a fan of his, I'd hate for him to be blown up via podium or teleprompter.

They do bomb and weapon sweeps with dogs well before and just before any presidential speech.

And yet there was supposed to be security for the truck of equipment, wasn't there? The best laid schemes of mice and men, and all that.

Considering the record number of death threats from nutcases when Obama was elected, I think they're doing an amazing job protecting him.

I'm not saying they're not. I'm saying that someone slipped up and it concerns me.

They are still waiting for a responce from Obama about this but it is a catch-22. He cant give a responce about the stolen teleprompters until they find the stolen teleprompters to tell him how to respond!

That Limbaugh rant about the TOTUS is really getting old.

What you both fail to acknowledge is every president since Eisenhower has used teleprompters. Bush hated them because he couldn't master them and used index cards.

In a 5th grade class and in meetings with world leaders? Love to see who else did that.

It's terrible when the teleprompter goes out...

President Ronald Reagan was particularly good at TelePrompTer reading. He did it so well that I believe this ability was one of the major reasons for Reagan's many successes. He could stare right at the camera while reading the TelePrompTer. It was like Uncle Ronnie was talking straight to you. Reagan knew how to work the TelePrompTer like no one else.
