Economist Who Crafted 9-9-9 Plan Backs Away From Sales Tax

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/10 ... 50#content

Whoops!

Edited to add: OK, seriously how stupid does he think Americans are? He defended his 999 to the death and said it works for all including the poor and won't raise their taxes. No way, no how! Over and over!!! Now after he is proven wrong, he has a NEW plan that he said he had all along but just didn't want to tell us and wanted to let people attack his other plan first. Now it is called 9-0-9 for under the poverty level. That will NOT be deficit neutral at all! He just made this one up and is throwing it out there hoping people buy it. Already people are calling him on it.

He just lost my respect. He has already turned into a full blown lying politician. No longer a businessman. And he has no clue on foreigh policy and people are saying that he speaks before he thinks all the time and has to correct things.

And another thing. He said he would bow to Al qaeda's demands if needed and release 700 of the worst terrorists in Guantanamo for one captured American? He later went on and said he made a mistake and that they never said Al qaeda. But the video shows that they do.

So you are still supporting Perry?

Mandatory, expensive vaccinations, spent money like crazy when he was a Texas governor, and doesn't seem to have much intellectual depth.

Sometimes what plays in Texas doesn't work nationally. Or do you want 2012 to be "W"'s 3rd term?

Why do people keep saying mandatory vaccinations? In 25 years in office, no one is perfect. He admitted that was a mistake. It never went through. It was never implemented. That one gets old. End of story.

What about Perry supporting in-state tuition for illegals?

All for it. If students were brought there without their say and went to school for 3 years or more like Perry says, and have the grades to go to college and wants to stay in Texas, then there are two choices. They still have to pay tuition. It can be in state which is where they graduated high school from like all the other in state residents. They get a college degree and since we as a nation are not going to throw them out of the country, they become productive tax paying people in America. Or they make them pay out of state which most will not be able to afford and they go down a bad road financially and then we have to support them on welfare. I am totally AGAINST illegal immigration! BUT I am just as much against turning this nation into more of a welfare nation.

And on top of that Perry is as we speak still trying to get a bill pushed through his state that closes sancuary cities like Houston and to a lesser extent Austin. It makes everyone e-verify so we know if they are a citizen to get work. And it fights to put more boots on the ground and close our borders!

OK, I can't even watch Cain anymore! He is lying again!! He was on a show last night saying the government has no say over abortion which is pro choice. Now after Iowa and other pro life groups are coming out against him, he is saying that is not what he meant and that it was two different questions. He ALWAYS USES THAT LINE!! It was two different questions. And people misunderstood what I meant. NO WE DIDN'T!!! YOu are spinning!

I am and always have been 100% for what is best for kids. Any and all kids. They are our future and we have to give them all a fair start or we end up supporting them. If they have been in school for 13 years and want to go to college in that state, why should they have to pay double because of the choice their parents made coming here illegally. Why punish the kids?

Perry says it best. WE HAVE TO CLOSE THE BORDER FIRST!!! Then fix the ones that are already here.

So he closes the border, puts up an electric fence, mine the area to prevent crossings.

What does he do about Texas' 600+ mile coastline?
