Foreigners Helping To Rebuild The Housing Market?

In a bipartisan move, a Dem and a Republican have come up with a plan to recreate demand for housing.
They would hand out immigration visas to foreigners willing to pay cash and buy American homes for at least 500K.

Sounds like a great idea to me. If they can afford to pay cash for 1/2 million dollar homes, they must have money and wouldn't be a drag on the social net. They would create demand for homes, and if they spend just a few weeks a year here, they would be spending money in our economy. If they spend more time here, even the better.

Smart immigration, what a concept.
