Public polling of Republican voters reveals 71% support EPA's efforts
to cut greenhouse gas emissions. So why is their party trying to gut
the agency and the air law?
Using a smokescreen of saving or creating jobs, this is Trojan Horse-ing around, presenting something that looks attractive on the surface, but which at its core is destructive to health and many lives.
While many polluters push any opportunity to reduce their own costs, the cost of dirty air gets passed to the rest of us through increased incidence of respiratory diseases like asthma, as well as cancers, and increases in the cost of health insurance for everyone.

Did they ask these same voters would you still agree to the GHG cuts if it meant your already high utility bills would increase, I am betting support would decline.
Besides, both Romney and Gingrich have supported greenhouse gas measures, but that was before the Obama depression and the worst economy in 70 years.
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
The economy as a whole doesn’t employ fewer people as a result of regulation.
U.S. Labor Department statistics show the impact of regulations on layoffs and job creation has been small.
Of the 7,247 mass layoffs last year -- those involving at least 50 workers -- 18 were the result of government regulation, according to department data. Of the 3,114 mass layoffs in the first half of this year, 11 were related to government regulation. By comparison, 1,053 mass layoffs were attributed to business demand.
Before we discuss birds killed by oil spills vs wind farms, answer this question, why are Green Energy unintended consequences okay, but not petroleum based ones?
Let me make the question clearer, why do the oil companies pay the $10,000/day fines imposed by the EPA, but there aren't similar fines for the wind farms? If you are for truth and not subsidizing businesses, we can fine every business that produces electricity until no one can afford it anymore.
In July 2009, the Oregon based electric utility PacifiCorp paid $1.4 million in fines for killing eagles in Wyoming. OSHA Proposes $92,000 Fine for LM Wind Power After Worker Killed. Outland Renewable Services faces penalties of $378,000. Minnesota wind energy firm faces $378,000 fine.
