Not for me! I got my Obama tax exemption card with his signature on it. Too bad I don't use the tanning machines. Darn.

The anti-caucasian tax? "If it stops one person from getting skin cancer, it will be well worth it."
And if it closes more small business tanning salons, the economy will only get better, right?

I've never understood using a tanning bed in the first place. My heritage is Scots-Irish-English. By the end of summer, my skin may be less blinding than it was in May, but I'm not going to worry about it in December. Personally, I think having an all-over tan in the winter looks odd.

Using a tanning salon is all about vanity, those who think it's worth paying money to keep a year-round tan will keep going, tax or no.

How is this tax any different than taxes on cigarettes and liquor?

You want to spend time in a tanning bed, killing skin cells and damaging others, go for it and pay the extra cost, the new healthcare plan can pay for your melanoma.

See, logic is so much better than just plain hate.

:yeahthat: Because if treating your skin cancer is going to be paid for by my taxes, I sure as h@*l want you paying more for it!

Can't we apply that logic to all lifestyles? For instance, if you are homosexual who frequents gay bars (i.e. bath house)...shouldn't their be a Obamacare medical tax on the services/products rendered?

"Listen, there will be NO new taxes to individuals who make less than $ 250k." Wow, I didn't realize that every individual who gets a tan makes $ 250K.

It does appear to be a sin tax. And also a majority rules tax. Most Americans don't use tanning salons, so tax the minority that does.
