I finally watched the video and these are the best comments so far. Have you ever been way overtired? I have had some very long shifts and have stayed up fof days (by choice) and I was told that I did and said some insane things before I eventually slept. This video reminds me of the euphoria I believe I was in.

Concure. It reminds me of me after a white nite or two.
And sometimes when you are in front of a friendly group, you let your defenses down a bit. Like when Obama made the crack about middle Americans clinging to their guns and religion.

I'm just remembering Obama on the stump, after several days of multi-state stops when he said he'd visited 57 states. You guys sure didn't mention anything about campaigning taking it out of candidates then.
But, if it's one of your guys, ooooh it's soooo understandable.

Anyone who is being realistic knows the 57 state comment was a joke. Probably from spending too much time on the road.

Exactly but a number of posters here expressed the opinion that Obama was so dumb he didn't even know how many states there are. If you look at the video objectively, you can see he was clearly tired after non-stop campaigning for days.
Obama wasn't joking with 57 states, he just got confused and meant 47 (I think...hope). Did Perry gaffe along the lines of getting a basic fact wrong? Did he say anything as wrong as Herb Cain with his comments on China? All I saw was Perry having fun. Kind of reminded me of HW Bush on the campaign trail after it was obvious that he was going to lose to Carter.
