Job Poll - what type of citizen are you?

I am curious what type of US citizen you are?

And if you are a job creator, how did you create a job in this economy, even if it was your own?

Oh and feel free to suggest options to ad. I will add all reasonable and relatively unbiased responses (when I come back).

I saw Vampire Vodka...and it made me think again, I was just a step or two behind...

You see I knew (and so did most of you):

That both Vampire and Vodka start with V
That repeating the V, which is a unique letter, in a name would be catchy
That people are really into Vampires with all the books and movies lately and in the last 50 years
That people are very addicted to alcohol
That people make purchases based on attributes that dazzle the senses vs. practicality

That this was something that any of us could have done to create our own job and a job for many around us. I know a number of small distillers and could have started a small run on very little money, even just a credit card charge for a couple grand with some faith.

I have a long list of such opportunities I believe exist as a result of the OWS protests and what they are doing to our mindset. Every time something is not the best or the climate changes...there is much opportunity. This is why I always push for more self employment and I feel we need to stop funneling that 401k money to wall street and create easier ways for people to invest that same money locally or within their family and friends network. Then we wont have to protest ourselves about what we are doing as we protest (or our parents and friends are doing).

How about retired veteran? Or retired?

I work 40 hours a week...but if I didn't get my retired military pay and disability I wouldn't be making it. My health insurance is provided through TriCare due to my military service but I use the VA clinic in Salida for most of my needs. My dental insurance is provided through my job.

The company I work for is a niche manufacturer, small specialized products, markets aren't huge but the competition is narrow and we tend to dominate the niche and have good margins. Based in Colorado, we buy other niche manufacturers and either move them here or take over their accounting and other overhead. So we are creating Colorado jobs and currently expanding.

Full benefits including a generous stock option plan. Last year I turned in 2 years of stock options and earned a year's worth in pay.

I added a few retirement/support options, but retired was there. This is more a exploration of work status vs. respect for specific work done.

Also, If you worked in the military and now work in the private sector, the military may consider you retired and you may have retired from that job, but you are not retired in society, you changed jobs and sectors.

You can check multiple boxes.

Sorry, I will not be revising the poll any longer as any revision wipes out old results.
