Hey OWS...12.8 mil to Fannie and Freddie Execs

Crony capitalism is hated by both OWS and the TEA Party, but the politicians still like to hand it out.
Heard yesterday about a New Jersey scheme that would give a corporation 80 million odllars in tax credits to bring 8 jobs to the state. Sound even worse than the Aurora/Gaylord/Stock Show plan.

How many times do we have to say yes, we feel the same about the fanny/freddy execs as we do about any banking/corporation executives that receive huge compensation packages while taxpayers/workers are struggling? Can you on the right say the same?

I do not think that the point is that the left is for corruption. The story is that when it is on the left there is a absence of vocal outrage.

Not to put words in your mouth, but I believe your response is that the right is the same way. I say that while that is true for establishment r's it is not true for the tea party element. That is why the r political class fear the tea party.

Sorry I didn't respond right away CB, I was under anesthesia yesterday. This is even more egregious because these are government backed programs and proof that our government is a wholly owned subsidiary of the banks.

The only difference would be that the mafia would have integrity.

don't forget "respect" and tieing up all loose ends (kind of like the "rapture" only not by divine intervention)... lol

But you did put words in my mouth, and that is not what I posted. I think I made it clear that I, and probably many on the left find all these inflated compensation packages to be grossly out of line.......especially in these economic times. I was simply curious if the right only feels this way about these packages when they are paid of of taxpayer dollars, or do they think corporations should be cutting back on high CEO compensation when they are not hiring new workers, or their workers salaries/benefits are, if not declining, certainly not rising? It was a question, not a statement.

This is where we will disagree. Corporations are not created to hire people, and CEO's are hired to maximize the profits of the shareholders. If firing people and closing branches helps profits, they should have the right to do that. and if they do a good job of it and maximize profits for the company, many are rewarded with stock options.
