New International Version (NIV)
The Sheep and the Goats

31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

It is interesting to see capitalist Christians duck and weave around this passage.
BTW, the Vatican supports some of the Occupy Wall Street goals like wealth redistribution and living wages.

LJ- your one of the godless heathens.

Hell lasts a long time.

35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

And just how would you propose that people would have food to give, drink to give and shelter to give, and clothes to give, and free time to give if they do not own these resources in abundance?

How bout you SS109- how does a person get all these things to give away if he or she does not earn more than one needs for him/herself?

You guys are idiots!

Amazing. At this level of thinking skills it's a wonder that you can actually remember how to start breathing after each breath. You're own "god" has told you that a persons final judgement is only known by him. Yet you are pretentious enough to to speak for him. You live in fear of a invisible man in the sky and spend your time expounding on an imaginary place of eternal punishment that you and not a single other living being has ever seen. Honestly... grow up.

Why, yes, I am. You, on the other hand, are so f**ked, because if God DOES see into men's hearts, all He's going to find in yours is an enormous cesspool of hatred, bigotry and hypocrisy.

Good point. To do the best for humanity, it might be better to become a evil corporate lawyer earning 500K a year and having 1/2 your income taxed and hire staff providing jobs rather than being a social worker who doesn't earn enough to pay taxes.

Here's a fact- Christian church groups and those "capitalists" who are members of those churches....

Give MORE food to the poor, provide MORE clothes to the needy, provide more shoes for poor children, help provide more shelter i.e. homeless shelters, provide more medicine and donate more of their time than all the governments of the world combined with all the socialists and communists on earth.

That's a fact!

Can you link to some statistics for that "fact?"

I don't have the link but they did a study on charitable giving comparing the bible belt with the godless, high tax socialist republics like Massachussets. And while the Christians voluntarily gave a higher percentage of their income to charity, they paid less in taxes and had less income overall so the athiests living in high tax states did about the same good, even though they didn't have a choice on paying taxes.

And that was one excuse the Massachussets people used, I gave at the office when I was paying all my taxes so I don't have to donate on my own.
