Reality Bites: John Boehner: Debt Deal Will Include New Tax Revenues

WASHINGTON -- House Speaker John Boehner said Thursday that any bipartisan agreement reached by the congressional deficit-reduction supercommittee will need to include some new tax revenue.

Most Congressional Republicans have signed a "taxpayer protection pledge" -- devised by the Grover Norquist-led group Americans for Tax Reform -- vowing not to raise taxes. When asked about Norquist on Thursday, Boehner dismissed him as "some random person in America"

Finally... Reality seeps in. It will be fun to watch Grover Norquist foaming at the mouth.

And raising taxes will be necessary but Obama making villains of the job creators and producers saying they aren't paying their "fair share" when they pay most of the income taxes isn't the way to do it.

Yes... I'll shed a tear for the "job creators" that haven't created any jobs in 10 years despite massive tax-cuts.

Only a dingbat like yourself would mock the people who make all your cherished government spending possible. Your solution to increase employment is to raise the cost of doing business....brilliant!

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Only a Kool-Aid drinker such as yourself would continue to believe the horse-sh*t spin about "job creators" when the numbers show that they haven't created any jobs in 10 years despite massive tax-cuts....Stupid.

You're all over the place this morning... first you start another thread with this comment...

So, they propose a doomsday scenario to force the parties to come to an agreement, and when the GOP finds that it can't do anything but say 'NO', they look for a way to nullify the automatic cuts that would kick in... You can hear the surprise in *MY* voice...

And now the GOP says..

"...any bipartisan agreement reached by the congressional deficit-reduction super-committee will need to include some new tax revenue."

And you keep snarking. Your partisanship is showing and so is your dishonesty.

Boehner: Debt Deal Will Include New Tax Revenues

Lawmakers aim to stop Pentagon cuts if deficit panel fails
Bills would prevent spending curbs scheduled to kick in automatically

A version of this article appeared in print on November 5, 2011, on page A1 of the New York edition with the headline: Congress Seeks Way to Bypass Pentagon Cuts.

So, let's see... Boehner talks out of one side of his mouth on 11/4/11, saying New Tax Revenues will be included...

And on 11/5/11, they announce that "Lawmakers" (read: Republicans) aim to stop Pentagon cuts by passing bills to prevent it from kicking in.

I'll wait for this to sink in...

So, Boehner says he's willing to compromise, and the teabagger/bomb-throwers start looking for a way around it.

Dishonesty, my a**....
