I have to do more research on her, especially her positions on the environment, but I hold her in high regard - she's an intelligent, accomplished, strong woman who's withstood adversity and good old boys networks with grace, dignity, and an iron backbone. She speaks multiple languages and seems to be a pretty independent thinker. Her position on abortion is one that I accept.
However, she also thinks the US should be actively involved in promoting democratic governments in the Middle East, when I believe that for a democracy to truly work/take root that it must come from within - if it's imposed upon the people, rather than them choosing it for themselves, it will not work. Her failure in handling Katrina worries me a lot.
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

I recall a certain Texas governor pledging to the voters in his home state that he wouldn't run for president if they re-elected him governor... :Whistle
That would make an interesting ticket, I think Condi Rice would be a good choice but I'd like to see Romney and Rice interact under pressure on the campaign trail before I could endorse that combination.
Politics, dirt, and personal issues aside, a Rice/Romney ticket presents an opportunity for a catchy jingle: Rice'n Romney, the Republican treat... or something like that...
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

WHAT!?!?!?! You mean...... HE BROKE A CAMPAIGN PROMISE?!?!?!?!??!
Rice is a reasonably good expert with a US vs. Russia paradigm - but she has old fashioned - and frankly, destructive ideas about the middle east. When politicians address the Middle East challenge with the same framework that was used to conquer the Wall ---- they're not going to succeed. Additionally - the "successes" of western politics are really over-sold. People like Soros tore down the wall even more than Reagan.
As I noted, Rice considers Iran and South Korea her key accomplishments (I don't see much "accomplishment" to either).
Rice has also alienated a number of key GOP figures (not such a horrible thing).

Don't worry... if it turns out to be Romney/Rice... you'll still have a conservative black to trash. That should be worth something to the left. A present from the GOP to you.
There's always the black guy that runs the Republican National Party.
Oh wait, the Republicans got rid of him, didn't they? He was just there for show ("We like blacks, too!") after Obama got elected.
In your opinion...right?
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
