"In February, when the Democratic National Committee chose Charlotte, North Carolina as the host city for its September 2012 convention, it left the door wide open for the Charlotte-area’s union-free workforce to be discriminated against in favor union workers. Although Charlotte’s Democrat Mayor, Anthony Foxx (who is facing GOP challenger Scott Stone in Tuesday’s election), has denied the allegation, it appears Foxx has been misleading Charlotte residents on both his (alleged) job creation record as well as the outsourcing of DNC convention jobs to union labor."
Yeah, that was alleged when they came to Denver for the convention. Turned out to be much ado about nothing. Nice, though, that they can use the same outrage and just change the name of the city, saves on paper, time, and energy.
There is no honor among thieves; IMHO the DNC will use every event they can to employ union members and thereby hope to increase votes for their candidates and re-election. Not new news, this has been a large part of the Democrats MO for decades.
My hope is that enough citizens that have been out of work and are now out of unemployment benefits will see Barry and his party for the pirates that they are and vote them out of office.
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus
I have to wonder if the RNC would hire union workers, or would they try to hire non-union specifically. Not so much a "you did it too" but a "why does this surprise you"? However, it was shown not to be true in Denver, they hired union and non union depending on what workers normally worked those venues.
Sidebar: It is interesting to see the current redistricting battles in Colorado, Dems versus Republicans? Typical, but more interesting is minority groups versus the Dems. White Democrats care more that the districts are 50/50 Dem Republican. Hispanics would like to see more predominately Hispanic districts. Republicans like the idea of predominately Dem or dominant Republican districts so latinos are voting with the Republicans.
Do the white bread Dems not like the idea of latino politicians in Congress and the state house?

I sure would like to see the sources on that info.

Denver Post & KOA. The court is deciding on redistricting right now. The Hispanic & Republican groups are petitioning for districts of like groups. White Democrats like Hickenlooper are petitioning for balanced districts.

How does liking balanced districts equate to not liking latinos politicians in congress? Balanced districts sound like they would foster more competition for a congressional seat and the candidates would actually have to "win" the election, not just walk into office because they are from the right party.
Sorry...I don't get KOA here in AZ. This sounds like your take on on someone elses opinion.
It is just my guess that the White Dems like balanced districts because they want to take power away from Latinos, but the Latinos in the article don't want balanced districts, so we will see who wins. I am going to guess since the courts are stacked with White Dem judges, the White Dems will win over the Latino Dems.
The good side of competitve districts is that there will be less safe seats. Whole states might swing from Dem to Republican every 2 years. The down side? Usually it means many more discontented voters in every district.
