"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

I don't think you TRULY grasp the enormity of the problem the United States is mired in.........the nation/government/economy is on the
brink of ANOTHER financial free-fall (like 2008) ONLY THIS TIME IT'S GLOBAL......Europe (PIGS) is about to experience their OWN 2008
and when they do,WE WILL GO DOWN WITH THEM......IF you believe the economy can be salvaged you will be in for a HUGE surprise.
America,as you have know it,will be radically changed......Charlie Sheen and Lindsey Lohan are NOT even on the radar...the financial
facade that we have been fed for the last 3 years is about to be exposed......as a fraud. When THAT occurs you (collectively) might
want to re-consider your perception of the late, great America. JMO
I've lived a while. Time and again I've seen hysterics scream that the world is going down. To hoard silver dimes and raise goats to protect yourself. You'll have to excuse me if I am a tad skeptical at armageddonists. If I'm wrong, feel free to mock me. I refuse to live a life of fear and dread. I've always found those who long for end times as sad people unwilling to take responsibility for their lives.

I DON'T subscribe to the "end times"........I don't subscribe to biblical quotes.....what I do UNDERSTAND is this.....what goes UP, must
eventually come down and America has reined supreme for many decades. THAT will change.....from a metaphysical standpoint what is,
is what was meant to be and when the fall occurs the "re-building" can take place. I am looking towards what will be replacing the present paradigm......JMO

Bla Bla Bla right- seems like no one cares- and by the way I happen to agree with you. This might be the first time I don't know.
We are so fricken close to a total economic collapse it's not even funny. We are teetering right on the edge of that cliff- thanks to the government we have had since 2008. It's so much worse than 2008 now- because we kept spending and ran up the bills so high that it is not likely we will even afford the interest on the bills. We are out of bullets.
The next week or two are going to get interesting- Italy now in big trouble and Greece will run out of money in 3 weeks.
I guess I'm as ready as I am going to be for this.
If we are about to "go down" as you say Bear mtn it is because of policies that far predate 2008. At least be honorable enough to own the share that your elected representatives played in our predicament. Perhaps what irritates me the most about all this is that neither side is willing to admit their culpability in the whole mess. It's always someone elses fault. Blah de blah indeed.

On this, you and I agree......this present predicament is based from actions over the past decade or so....BOTH parties have a part in
this fiasco......you CAN NOT continue a farce for very long. It will eventually UNWIND and find it's own equilibrium.....THAT is occurring
as we speak and the end result will be unpleasant and upheaval. We,as a nation, did NOT deal with this fiasco when it was prudent, and
NOW we will be reaping the results of that stupidity.....'STRAP IN, HOLD ON, AND SHUT UP,because it is going to be a wild ride. JMO
In 1942, Stuart Chase, in his book "The Road We Are Traveling" spelled out the system of planning the Fabians had in mind; the interesting thing is to look at that plan in comparison to 2008 America.
1. Strong, centralized government.
2. Powerful Executive at the expense of Congress and the Judicial.
3. Government controlled banking, credit and securities exchange.
4. Government control over employment.
5. Unemployment insurance, old age pensions.
6. Universal medical care, food and housing programs.
7. Access to unlimited government borrowing.
8. A managed monetary system.
9. Government control over foreign trade.
10. Government control over natural energy sources, transportation and agricultural production.
11. Government regulation of labor.
12. Youth camps devoted to health discipline, community service and ideological teaching consistent with those of the authorities.
13. Heavy progressive taxation.
Imagine the good fortune of the Democratic Party to simply follow something printed so many years ago.
