Shoting in Oakland last night You called it, but that's what THEY want...The "peace lovers" are at it again...
Look what happened when the owsers surrounded the cops, up agianst a wall, and had to defend themselves.

Perhaps because so many others attack people for their party affiliation instead of their ideas. It got ramped-up because it was getting tiresome...So, of course, the usual response was to ramp it up some more. I'm okay with that...But I'd rather not.
Colin Powell: Occupy movement ‘is as American as apple pie’
Former Secretary of State Colin Powell said Thursday that he sympathized with the “frustration and angriness” exhibited by “Occupy Wall Street” protesters.
“I was born in Harlem to immigrant parents, and my parents always had a job,” Powell told CNN’s Piers Morgan. “And so, people are concerned now that there is not that source of an income. There isn’t that work source that I remember.”
“So, what you’re seeing with ‘Occupy Wall Street’ and the others are people who are unhappy, and they’re directing their unhappiness right now towards Wall Street and towards those they think are doing to well in our society,” he continued. “And so, demonstrating like this is as American as apple pie. We have been marching up and down and demonstrating throughout our history. … And so, I get a little concerned when demonstrations turn into violence, or when some of the demonstrators demonstrate absolute nihilism and they’re really not interested in anything but destruction and tearing down the system.”
God forbid you should click on a link and read someone's opinion, since you already have your mind made up. Would not want any not-approved thoughts floating around in your head.
I have to agree with Gen. Powell. I have never understood why so many on the right are so hostile towards the movement. I know I am also mad at how the banks and Wall Street have become parasites on our system. Protesting is one of the most patriotic things we can do.

This is why I get bothered... Powell... "And so, I get a little concerned when demonstrations turn into violence, or when some of the demonstrators demonstrate absolute nihilism and they’re really not interested in anything but destruction and tearing down the system.”" Maybe you missed that. I'm not real cozy about lawlessness. But that's just me.

Oh God. The people that complain about them have turned into their own parents.
I don't see them as hippies, but I do think the majority of them are a bit clueless as to why they are protesting. It's similar to the students who went nuts after Paterno was fired.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Dosn't bother me a bit if they want to get violent- go right ahead. Just stay clear of my stuff. Tear down and burn down the whole damn place for all I care.
Just don't ask me to bail out these protestors with my tax dollars. I don't want to subsidize their wasted time, or support them with our welfare state- or forgive them of their 100K college loan debt with taxpayer money.
I want them to be responsible for their own lives- just as I am responsible for my life and my debt- and I am responsible for my own education expenses.
I am also responsible if I choose to camp out in the streets for months instead of using my time more wisely- to earn whatever I could to pay back what I owe.
I'll go along with tearing down the system- but what do we rebuilt it into? I want America back again and that's somthing totally different from what these Occupiers want. I don't want to be their parents- so don't ask me to pay their bills for them.
Let them find personal responsibility for once in their life.
