The Republican candidates have all laid out plans to create millions of jobs. What is Obama's plan? More of the same that has lost 2.5 million jobs in the last 3 years while raising our national debt almost $5 trillion? Seriously, what is Obama's plan? He already turned down 220,000 new jobs in the last month, so I would love to hear it.

Anyone taking bets if archer will actually answer this? Come back with a smart ass comment? Or deflect it to re-ask us a question becaue she has no answer? I am not betting on the first option. Surprise us archer. Tell us Obama's plan since you support him.

Where is Obama's jobs plan? You must have a really short memory. It's been only a couple months since he introduced it.

Kate answered that question very nicely....thanks kate. Viking, I really didn't want to answer your question, you have been pretty obnoxious to me lately and this is just one more example of that. I know that what ever I post, you will attack me for, not my opinion, me personally. I am sick to death of that. That being said....here goes.
My support of Obama is based more on my opposition to the Republican candidates. Obama has disappointed me as he has many Democrats.......but like I have posted numerous times before he is a far better choice than what I see so far on the Republican side. I think portions of his job plan have a chance of improving not only the job picture but the economy as a whole. I think it is time to let the Bush tax cuts expire on the wealthiest of Americans, and I know no Republican will do that.

Oh, and what proposals of Huntsman do you find thoughtful?

several:

His proposal to exit Afghanistan sooner rather than later

His tax plan for 8% - 14% - 23% which I think would be more revenue neutral than either Cain's or Perry's plan

His emphasis on spending our hard earned money here at home, and in our more immediate neighborhood (like Latin America) than overseas.

His ability to see the larger picture in our military spending and recognition that we have to change from the bigger is better to smarter is better mentality.

Huntsman is smart, old school conservative and as we can see would appeal to voters across the political spectrum helping to heal the wide partisan breaches our nation is suffering from. He's not glamorous, he's just a rollup your sleeves, get off your ass kind of guy.

Yes I love the vetrens part of the plan. Parts of which Bush passed but was not enacted due to the Dems controlling both houses up until this year. Good for them!

And you are talking about Obama's plan that couldn't even pass the Democrat controlled Senate becasue some Dems voted against it? Not a real plan.

Yeah, and your boy Perry has the crappiest plan of all. <!-- l --><a class="postlink-local" href=" 285bound.com/Forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=16165&start=10 " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">viewtopic.php?f=6&t=16165&start=10<!-- l --> The jobs that have been created in Texas have more to do with the states resources and other things (like personal income tax) that are out of the governor's control, and his measly little plan to create 2.5 million jobs won't even keep up with population growth. He's certainly not going to do any better as president if he thinks that the resources of Texas are transferable to the country as a whole, and he's too partisan to come up with anything effective.

The Viking wrote: Oh, and what proposals of Huntsman do you find thoughtful?

I've posted several links to articles explaining why he's the better candidate: here , here , and here but you've never bothered responding, so why should archer reply to you? You seem to be great at ignoring/not even considering that with which you disagree.

In an editorial published late Thursday night, the newspaper, which is influential among fiscal conservatives, touted the former Utah governor and former U.S. ambassador to China's jobs plan.

The paper described Huntsman's proposals, which he laid out Wednesday in a speech in New Hampshire,"as impressive as any to date in the GOP presidential field, and certainly better than what we've seen from the front-runners." Huntsman introduced a plan to dramatically scale back the scope of the federal government and simplify the tax code, in part by including eliminating deductions and credits.

"My plan may be challenged by the special interests, on the left and the right. But it represents a serious path forward – toward fiscal discipline and economic growth."

Huntsman Accuses Obama Of 'Political Theatrics,' Unveils Plan To Radically Overhaul Federal Taxes And Regulations
Grace Wyler | Aug. 31, 2011

Criticizing his 2012 opponents for failing to provide leadership on economic issues, Republican presidential hopeful Jon Huntsman, Jr., outlined a plan for dramatically overhauling the federal tax system and reducing the scope of the federal government.

The aggressive plan , unveiled this afternoon in New Hampshire...draws heavily from both the Simpson-Bowles report and U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan's deficit reduction plan, and covers topics ranging from tax and regulatory reform to energy security and free trade. Although the plan is light of specifics, Huntsman conceded that some of his proposals will likely stir controversy on the left and the right.

SC you just lost a lot of my respect. You obviously are just like archer. Posting crap without the facts. You are always so quick to come to your precious archer's defense (which you have to keep denying dozens of times even with the obvious facts), that you post whatevver defends her whether it is true or not. Most of the jobs were NOT from state resources. They have proven that. But go on posting archer, I mean LJ, I mean, SC..... I think? This is why I stay on FB. I hate the drama and having to lower my IQ to come over here.

Thanks for proving my point that you really aren't interested in debate, just echos of your viewpoints.
