Who's posts to you like reading and who do you not?

Who do you like reading on here and who do you not like reading?

This is not who do you agree with.

Just curious. Mostly cause I assume people don't like reading my posts. I can stop if that is the feeling. Just seems people like to get into it here and it is fun, but I know I often push deeper than most want to go. I can stop if that is the consensus, not my intent to burden, only expand and debate/learn, to be right and to be proven wrong.

But there may be others out there that people like to hear from or not.

Don't stop, reading a post is a choice as is how far one wants to go in the post. For me just depends on the topic. I am not as "smart" on some things and then other things I have an in depth knowledge of.

I enjoy reading any post that is meant to express a reasoned opinion about the topic, whether I agree with it or not. I don't enjoy reading posts that are only intended to mock or insult with a broad brush and usually end with some idiotic phrase like "thanks for playing".

Speaking for myself, the best thing about 285bound is that anyone can post on any topic and express their point of view. I can't agree with everyone nor would I expect everyone to agree with all of my points of view. Being able to express our differences of opinion and discuss them openly is important and influences who reads a particular post or reply, we should all count ourselves fortunate for the privilege. I'd rather read a post and disagree with the post and the author than not having read the post at all; others may have new information and perspectives I had not considered.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian." - Henry Ford

Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus

Not you, in this instance. Had to interpret that mess of a topic title you wrote.

If human nature is true to form, most posters like reading their own posts more than any others.

I enjoy reading Chickaree's and Science Chic's post the most. Joe usually has something worthwhile to say, but he doesn't say much any more. Sometimes enjoy VL's comedy routine.

Very well put otis, thank you. Posteryoyo, I enjoy your posts - they are very different from everyone else's, and require extra thought. I often don't respond, not because I don't want to, but because I don't have the time to properly think out my answer or do extra research, so I hope you stay! I appreciate everyone's views, especially those who are original, provoke thought, or are different from mine because they expose me to knowledge I may not have already had and help me learn more. I would love to see even more people jump in and add to our collective knowledge, experience, and viewpoints!

(Thanks towermonkey, I always like reading what you have to say too!)

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
