I have a friend who is 33 years old and came from Mexico with his family when he was 13. He would be as lost in Mexico as I would...no friends, family, or job. His wife is legal but he's not and just works odd jobs for cash.

I think Clintons semi endorsement of Gingrich would help him with independants. But no matter who gets the nomination, Republicans will walk through fire and broken glass to vote for him.

I agree. So you must think Perry has a pretty reasonable stance on immigration to then as they basically feel the same? The problem is that so many in the Tea Party, (who left my conservative views and beliefs a while ago), are stuck on the illegal immigration issue. They keep saying get rid of them all! But not one will give an example of how. So Newt and Perry have plans to close the fence in a year and they stone them for being humane to kids who have been in school for years or families that have been productive in the community for decades. They don't understand that we have to deal with the people who are here later. FIRST we close the border so NO MORE come in, then we deal with the mess left to us by the last 4 or 5 Presidents. We can stop all companies from hiring illegals and send them back as we find them after that but like Newt said, you need an independent panel to evaluate each case. A single guy who came in less than 5 years ago with no family is gone. A family with kids graduating from school and they are working and have been here for 20 years, you can't just seperate them and you can punish the children for the sins of the parent.

And here is why Romney won't win. He is a total liar and says whatever people want to hear. He was for amnesty for all 12 million illegals just 4 years ago, now he attacks Newt and Rick Perry for not wanting to just ship them all to Mexico.

And Newt and Perry both said no to citizenship and they don't get to vote. Romney was talking about a path to citizenship for 12 million illegals.

The Union leader just said the liked both Perry and Gingrich but went with Gingrich. I am sure it was due to the fact that he is leading.

Doesn't mean much. The Union-Leader endorsement is not a glimpse into the future, if past endorsements are any indication.

"Since 1972 it has only twice endorsed the eventual GOP nominee – Ronald Reagan in 1980 and John McCain in 2008. On the other occasions, its nod to John Ashbrook in 1972, Reagan in 1976, Pete Dupont in 1988, Pat Buchanan in 1992 and 1996 and Steve Forbes in 2000."
