Yeah, right, the guy who destroyed TWO marriages through adultery, including leaving his dying one for another woman, is the right guy to be lecturing Cain.

Dying one?

Wife, not one. Already corrected before I saw this.

This is a left wing smear. Don't feel bad, I believed it myself until his daughter released this statement. Repeat a lie often enough............ I hope this will get at least a few people to reexamine some of the things they "just knew are true" .
PS As far as I know she is still not dead.

"For years, I have thought about trying to correct the untrue accounts of this hospital visit. After all, I was at the hospital with them, and saw and heard what happened. But I have always hesitated, as it was a private family matter and my mother is a very private person. In addition, for the four people involved, it was one of a million interactions and was not considered a defining event by any of us.

My mother and I have both recently run into quite a few people who hold an inaccurate understanding of this hospital visit. Many think my mother is dead.

So, to correct the record, here is what happened: My mother, Jackie Battley Gingrich, is very much alive, and often spends time with my family. I am lucky to have such a “Miracle Mom,” as I titled her in a column this week.

As for my parents’ divorce, I can remember when they told me.

It was the spring of 1980.

I was 13 years old, and we were about to leave Fairfax, Va., and drive to Carrollton, Ga., for the summer. My parents told my sister and me that they were getting a divorce as our family of four sat around the kitchen table of our ranch home.

Soon afterward, my mom, sister and I got into our light-blue Chevrolet Impala and drove back to Carrollton.

Later that summer, Mom went to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta for surgery to remove a tumor. While she was there, Dad took my sister and me to see her.

It is this visit that has turned into the infamous hospital visit about which many untruths have been told. I won’t repeat them. You can look them up online if you are interested in untruths. But here’s what happened:

My mother and father were already in the process of getting a divorce, which she requested.

Dad took my sister and me to the hospital to see our mother.

She had undergone surgery the day before to remove a tumor.

The tumor was benign.

As with many divorces, it was hard and painful for all involved, but life continued."

But the wife that Newt divorced has maintained her version of the story, which is that he served her papers in the hospital.

I guess serving Wife-#2 papers in the hospital so that he could move on with about-to-be-Wife-#3 is somehow "acceptable" to the GOP as long as the tumor wasn't malignant? Is that the argument?

You can't make this stuff up....

For a party that is so obsessed with "family values", "moral values", "character issues", ad nauseum, watching them twist and turn to try to justify, overlook, and cut slack to this guy that cheated on Wife-#1, Wife-#2 to get to Wife-#3 ; and took $1.3 Million to "be a historian" while his "lobbying firm" (which, according to him, didn't actually do any lobbying)...truly fascinating...

Newt would not be my first choice, but I will vote for him before I vote for Barry. He has a clue about how to run the country.

Back to Cain, it looks like he just paid the filing fee for Nevada of $10,000 today for the Fed Primary. So did he do it because of a deadline in case, or is he really going to try riding this out?

Well... as of yesterday, he's still polling better than Perry and "No Opinion." I guess it can't hurt to stay positive.

I agree and let's see what happens.

Cain just said his financial support has dropped from $1 million a week to $100,000 per week. That isn't even $500,000 before Iowa. He can't survive at all on that! No more smoking ads.

Without Cain in the race, what will you do with all your spare time?

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
