Yep.. The Dems have had a few... But this recent crop is breathtakingly stupid... And the dumber they are, the more the anti-intellectuals lap it up... :VeryScared:

Yep. You're right.
Unfortunately on the other side of the coin, the democrats are only brilliant at exploiting the entitlement-minded dullards in order to keep getting elected. If they were as brilliant at running the country as they are at buying votes, we'd be in alot better shape.
Here's the root problem that the article doesn't point out...
Anyone smart enough to be a good leader is smart enough to stay the hell out of politics.
"Whatever you are, be a good one." ~ Abraham Lincoln
How Republicans are being taught to talk about Occupy Wall Street
Yahoo News sat in on the session, and counted 10 do's and don'ts from Luntz covering how Republicans should fight back by changing the way they discuss the movement.
(NOTE: Since this was a public speech, I don't think "fair use" provisions of quotation limits apply...)
Actually, since this was reported by Yahoo news, and they did the work transcribing the speech that is quoted here, it is subject to Fair Use. If you (generic "you", not directed at LJ per se) attend a public speech, and transcribe it yourself (or videotape it), then you are free to post the entire content. Ugh, I know this stuff really sucks with all the caveats and ambiguities and I'm sorry about that everyone.
The known exceptions for Fair Use quoting are:
government reports
press releases
compilations of facts
items in the public domain
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
Since the transcription was subject to Fair Use provisions, I tried to find the YouTube video of the same thing... Thanks, SC, for helping me find it! Unfortunately, I am pretty limited in what I can do from behind the firewall I have to deal with at the client-site that I operate from...
