Some of BO's biggest backers

Also, the company from which Obama raised the most money in 2008: Goldman Sachs, whose CEO Lloyd Blankfein has visited the White House 10 times.

And you find a problem with this? "The organization that spent the most to help Barack Obama get elected president: SEIU, which spent $28 million backing Obama.
The individual who has visited the Obama White House the most: SEIU President Andy Stern, who has visited 53 times. Also, the company from which Obama raised the most money in 2008: Goldman Sachs, whose CEO Lloyd Blankfein has visited the White House 10 times."

It seems to me that Obama keeps as good company as the GOP politicians do. The corrupt Political Class is one big club and Obama is just another member in good standing. So are all the Republican politicians, the right wingnuts... along with the left, progressive and socialist politicians.

Not that I am behind the guy, but he is backed by about half the voters, the one's that actually decide....even though that we all accept that those votes are bought via brainwashing of ads and media placement, and that this is ok and will not be a top priority to change. I think it is important as we discuss the aspects of the system in which we accept that the votes are bought to not forget that we have accepted this system of purchased votes and that EVERY election cycle, we perpetuate it by allowing it and embracing it by these types of threads.

Too bad pointing out the biggest backers of politicians rarely has any negative effect, even if it was a Satin, Hitler, Catholic Molester Priest combo candidate, if they had your party hat on, most of you would help them win (the new TimeWarner285AOLHuffFox told me to). Kinda like all those sports teams that can come from other places, the people and the issues don't matter, it's the brand that matters.

Actually it is kind of interesting, this is the free market at work. People demand that politicians collect massive amounts of money from companies and donors simply by always voting where the money is. If we voted on issues and the money did not matter as much, Obama or Joe R would tell the lobbyists that they were too busy to meet, or we might even be able to pass laws restricting them....as meeting with them would not be the best way to secure power, talking with us would be. But since we don't care about issues that much (even if people on here do), we (on average) care about who has the most expensive and prolific ads as well as who our beloved "news" sources tell us to vote for, even if in some cases these news programs make us less knowledgeable than those that watch no news (this was recent printed about Fox news), they keep meeting our demands. We vote with the money as well as other important factors like sex, height and looks....some of us go to make an even bigger mistake and only vote on one issue, like abortion or the propaganda of the issue that does not even exist. I guess these meetings are really a "shame on us", we asked them to do it, we literally voted for them to do it, and we tell them they are not doing it enough or getting enough money, do it MORE.

And Tony Rezko too, Obama's realtor who just got sentenced to prison. Think he will be pardoned in December 2012?

I think he will wait to the end of his 2nd term before he really starts letting the "criminals" out and clearing their name (to be on wikipedia forever).

Think about it, that list could include many OWS protesters that were arrested, hurt or may even be killed in this process. Did they pardon many of the civil rights and war protesters from the 60's and 70's that were convicted of crimes?

Yes, and Jack Abramoff just got released...

...and someday, Randy “Duke” Cunningham will finish his 8-year sentence...

... and I think Bob Ney has finished his sentence for conspiracy, graft, corruption, making false statements to federal law enforcement

... and David Safavian - former head of the Office of Federal Procurement Policy at the Office of Management and Budget should be done with his sentence...

Don't you love it when these guys find "redemption"....

Like Ayers.

So for the Lefties, when Obama takes that Wall Street money, do you think he will continue to haul water for them? Or will he go full OWS on them when he gets re-elected?
