You do realize the post was about income tax, right?
But now you are talking about wealth/savings with your graph.
So let me ask you, do you want to tax savings as well, which isn't done now? Most savings I can think of have already been taxed. Would you like to have savings, including yours, taxed?
I'm comparing the fact that " the top 1% paid 37% of the taxes" but hold "42% of the wealth." Of course I realize we're talking about the income taxes...And it's a valid comparison. And the chart shows the disproportionate way the top 1% have received the tax breaks over the last 30 years. I'm sure you'll work it out.
I'm not there yet... been close in the past, may still happen. I wont all those 1% to still be around... and rich... because I want to take some of their money from them... I never have increased my financial standing by working for a poor man.
