And the difference between the religions saying "we are right and you are wrong" to the atheists and the Jews is........?

Where are they proclaiming that everyone else is wrong? To express one's beliefs is different than saying "Athiests are wrong, there is a God" which they don't say.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Do you think it would be extremely classless if Jews were told not to include their Hanukkah symbols at a display like this?

I don't think there would be a problem at all. The difference being that this Athiest group is saying "you are wrong, and we are right" to all religions.....big difference than just including other beliefs. And as I said, they ay able to do it legally, but it's just being done as a bitter angry act and does nothing but create more of a divide...as if we need more of that in this country. Classless.

You mean you don't think there would be a problem if "Jews were told not to include their Hanukkah symbols at a display like this?" You're not really saying that, are you? Did I misunderstand you?

No, I think it would be fine to include any symbol, including an "I don't believe in anything" symbol. But to intentionally mock or say that someone elses beliefs are false, is not very American ..IN MY OPINION.

So... this would be alright with you at the holiday display...

Fine with me. I'm glad you agree.

From the article, the atheists were invited to display something in the xmas scene, but their submission was rejected. They wanted to put up a sign that said:

“At this season of the Winter Solstice, may reason prevail. There are no gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven or hell. There is only our natural world. Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds.”

The religions were putting up displays with their symbols and their deities, which is, in effect, saying that their deity is the correct deity.

That's not really the same as something like a Christian or Jewish symbol now is it. There are no symbols that basically says we are right and you are wrong.....maybe that's how you see it but I'd like to know how. I see it just as classless as someone putting up a sign outside an abortion clinic saying "This is a slaughter house...only murderers enter here"

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

I agree... The Christians should stop intentionally mocking the Jewish and atheist beliefs and saying that they are false. That's not very American.

Where do Christians publiclly say that all other religions are false? I'm not a Christian, but am always amazed at the vitriol that gets spewed by the bitter left when they happen to show their faith. reninds me of this http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/Tim- ... him-110211 If Tebow was Muslim and was mocked by other players during the game...all hell really would break loose.

When Christians put up a nativity scene, they are essentially advertising their faith, saying "We are the correct religion." They aren't saying it with words, but rather, with symbols and images.

When the atheist group wanted to put up their words stating their beliefs, they were rejected. Was it because atheists don't have symbols to display or is it because people are uncomfortable with actually stating what their symbols mean?

Let's start with something simple...

Glenn Beck apologizes for Reform Judaism remarks. ‘I was wrong on this and I apologize for it’
By Chris Ariens on February 24, 2011 12:24 PM
On the radio this morning, Glenn Beck lead his show with an apology for comments he made Tuesday about rabbis of Reform Judaism. “It’s almost like Islam … radicalized Islam in a way,” said Beck. “Radicalized Islam is less about religion than it is about politics. When you look at the Reform Judaism, it is more about politics.”

You still didn't answer me about the "no god" symbol above. You said and atheist symbol would be ok with you... how about that?
