Who is the most financially connected presidential candidate in the up and coming 2012 elections?

Despite frosty relations with the titans of Wall Street, President Obama has still managed to raise far more money this year from the financial and banking sector than Mitt Romney or any other Republican presidential candidate, according to new fundraising data.

Obama’s key advantage over the GOP field is the ability to collect bigger checks because he raises money for both his own campaign committee and for the Democratic National Committee, which will aid in his reelection effort.

As a result, Obama has brought in more money from employees of banks, hedge funds and other financial service companies than all of the GOP candidates combined, according to a Washington Post analysis of contribution data.

Yep... Obama. And this article and analysis of the data is from the media wing of the Obama inner circle The Washington Post. Very bad Washington Post, Obama is going to cancel his subscription. And who's sucking the teat of the rich 1%? Drum roll. It's Barack Obama and his Socialist Party. Obama... f'king hypocrite.

If the big corporate and financial interests want Obama to be President, he will be President. If they want someone else, that someone else will be President.

According to President Obama in his Kansas speech, 12-06-2011...

“I believe that this country succeeds when everyone gets a fair shot, when everyone does their fair share, and when everyone plays by the same rules,” Obama said. “Those aren’t Democratic or Republican values; 1percent values or 99 percent values. They’re American values, and we have to reclaim them.” (You mean the campaign money isn't from the 1 percent?)

“In 1910, Teddy Roosevelt came here, to Osawatomie, and laid out his vision for what he called a New Nationalism. 'Our country,' he said, '…means nothing unless it means the triumph of a real democracy…of an economic system under which each man shall be guaranteed the opportunity to show the best that there is in him.'" (you mean each Wall Street company will show the best... financially)

“Investing in things like education that give everybody a chance to succeed. A tax code that makes sure everybody pays their fair share. And laws that make sure everybody follows the rules. That’s what will transform our economy. That’s what will grow our middle class again,” Obama said. (you mean Wall Street investing in YOU)

You know... it's almost frightening that any politician can stand up and spurt this kind of bullcrap when he knows who is pulling the strings and what side of the bread his future is buttered on. Hypocrisy personified.

Not much activity on this thread. Not much you can say about President Barack "Wall Street" Obama... the friend of the 1%.

They are ALL the "friend of the 1%". Do you think it would change if someone else is elected?

And now Michael Moore is all confused... his messiah has been taking money from Wall Street...

MICHAEL MOORE, ON CNN: Well, "The Washington post" three weeks ago had this investigation and they said that President Obama has now raised more money from Wall Street and the banks for this election cycle than all -- than all eight Republicans combined. I don't want to say that, because if that's the truth, that Wall Street already has their man and his name is Barack Obama, then we've got a much bigger problem. But I think President Obama, if he were here in the room, the question I would ask him is why are they your number one contributors? Why are you taking this money?

MOORE: What are they expecting in return in the second term from you? Right now, here's what we do know. Goldman Sachs was your number one contributor the 2008 election. And we have not seen anyone from Goldman Sachs go to jail. We have not seen the regulations, Glass/Steagall, put back on to Wall Street now three years after the crash. Why hasn't that happened? President Obama, we the people need you to take them by the throat and say, damn it, this is the United States of America; you don't steal from the working people of this country. And this is the way it's going to be.

(See the video at the link). This is embarrassing. This socialist member of the OnePercent, who has had so much to say over the years about the big, bad capitalist, while making his fortune as a Really Big "Good" Capitalist, is now whining to Piers Morgan on nationwide TV about his disappointment in Obama. Has this fat F'k been living in a cave for the last 3 years? Idiot.

I remember when Dr. Fill came on PC and people there were happy to have a balanced voice posting. What happened and when did Fill become so biased? Fill posts the same exact threads on both PC and 285 under the TLGT nic.

IMO, Dr Fill is actually capable of carrying on a discussion without an insult in every other sentence which is required over at PC. LJ on the other hand is not. When he came here he went on a full attack of the wicked witch but soon realized that there were too many flying monkeys and she actually thrives on hate. I did my best to call her out but just learned to except the smell and move on.

I like Fills sarcasm, but around here, you need more than that when battling the Medusa of 285bound.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
