Jon Corzine (D) - doesn’t know where customer money went

Former Democratic Governor of New Jersey, former Goldman Sachs chief executive (Goldman Sachs was top Obama donor in 2008 - http://articles.cnn.com/2010-04-20/poli ... M:POLITICS ) can't account for 1.2 trillion dollars in customers money.

Jon S. Corzine, the former U.S. senator and New Jersey governor who presided over the collapse of the commodities brokerage MF Global, says he cannot explain what happened to “many hundreds of millions of dollars” that the firm was holding for customers.

In testimony prepared for delivery to Congress on Thursday, Corzine says he was “stunned” to learn shortly before the firm sought bankruptcy protection at the end of October that MF Global could not account for the money.

“I simply do not know where the money is, or why the accounts have not been reconciled to date,” the former MF Global chief executive says, according to the testimony.

Obama and his Wall Street friends. Obama the Messiah of Wall Street (Moore: "Wall Street Has Their Man And His Name Is Barack Obama" http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/ ... obama.html ) has taken the American public for trillions of dollars and at the same time Obama is running around the country telling use things don't work. They don't work because Obama, Wall Street and the rest of the Political Class all got their hands up each others butts and pulling the strings.

And now Michael Moore is all confused... his messiah has been taking money from Wall Street...

MICHAEL MOORE, ON CNN: Well, "The Washington post" three weeks ago had this investigation and they said that President Obama has now raised more money from Wall Street and the banks for this election cycle than all -- than all eight Republicans combined. I don't want to say that, because if that's the truth, that Wall Street already has their man and his name is Barack Obama, then we've got a much bigger problem. But I think President Obama, if he were here in the room, the question I would ask him is why are they your number one contributors? Why are you taking this money?

MOORE: What are they expecting in return in the second term from you? Right now, here's what we do know. Goldman Sachs was your number one contributor the 2008 election. And we have not seen anyone from Goldman Sachs go to jail. We have not seen the regulations, Glass/Steagall, put back on to Wall Street now three years after the crash. Why hasn't that happened? President Obama, we the people need you to take them by the throat and say, damn it, this is the United States of America; you don't steal from the working people of this country. And this is the way it's going to be.

Moore asks "Why are you taking this money?" Hey Michael... ask Corzine... maybe he can tell you?

(See the video at the link). This is embarrassing. This socialist member of the OnePercent, who has had so much to say over the years about the big, bad capitalist, while making his fortune as a Really Big "Good" Capitalist, is now whining to Piers Morgan on nationwide TV about his disappointment in Obama. Has this fat F'k been living in a cave for the last 3 years? Idiot.

"I didn't take the money, the previous administration did." Sounds like a certain President I know.

And just as a reminder... since many articles by the main stream media seems to forget these small facts... "Former Democratic Governor of New Jersey, former Goldman Sachs chief executive (Goldman Sachs was top Obama donor in 2008 - http://articles.cnn.com/2010-04-20/poli ... M:POLITICS )... Top Wall Street fundraiser for Barack Obama... can't account for 1.2 trillion dollars in customers money."

Corzine is small potatoes compared to what Congress and the administration has done with trillions missing.

Yeah, like this?

How the US sent $12bn in cash to Iraq. And watched it vanish
Special flights brought in tonnes of banknotes which disappeared into the war zone

The US flew nearly $12bn in shrink-wrapped $100 bills into Iraq, then distributed the cash with no proper control over who was receiving it and how it was being spent.

The staggering scale of the biggest transfer of cash in the history of the Federal Reserve has been graphically laid bare by a US congressional committee.

In the year after the invasion of Iraq in 2003 nearly 281 million notes, weighing 363 tonnes, were sent from New York to Baghdad for disbursement to Iraqi ministries and US contractors. Using C-130 planes, the deliveries took place once or twice a month with the biggest of $2,401,600,000 on June 22 2004, six days before the handover.

Details of the shipments have emerged in a memorandum prepared for the meeting of the House committee on oversight and government reform which is examining Iraqi reconstruction. Its chairman, Henry Waxman, a fierce critic of the war, said the way the cash had been handled was mind-boggling. "The numbers are so large that it doesn't seem possible that they're true. Who in their right mind would send 363 tonnes of cash into a war zone?"

The memorandum details the casual manner in which the US-led Coalition Provisional Authority disbursed the money, which came from Iraqi oil sales, surplus funds from the UN oil-for-food programme and seized Iraqi assets.

"One CPA official described an environment awash in $100 bills," the memorandum says. "One contractor received a $2m payment in a duffel bag stuffed with shrink-wrapped bundles of currency. Auditors discovered that the key to a vault was kept in an unsecured backpack.

You mean like THAT $12 BILLION in cash that just "disappeared"?

Yeah, I think Corzine is as crooked as the day is long, and I hope they put him in a cell next to Randy "Duke" Cunningham. Bob Ney, and a few of the others... But while Corzine had a (D) after his name in office... He wasn't IN office when this all took place. So save your "corrupt administration" crap for someone who cares.

When or where he was corrupt does nothing to change the fact that he was a high up mucky-muck in Democratic circles. President Obama top Wall Street fundraiser. A DEMOCRATIC senator and a DEMOCRATIC governor. All your whining and complaining and nasty comments won't change that one bit. Own up to this guy... he was one of your shining stars.
