I found this to be an interesting article on Mag Industries, the maker of Maglite. Despite his (Anthony Maglica) best efforts, he is unable to carry the Made in USA label because of 2 small parts that are not even manufactured in this country at all. But, I absolutely love this line about China...
“I will not do it,” he says, of ordering parts from China. “It’s like feeding a lion. As soon as you quit giving it meat, it bites your head off.”
That was a good article. Sounds like California needs to get with the program so this co. can use the made in USA label. The story about the guy who founded the company is very inspiring. Thanks!
