Obama on economic crisis: 'We didn't know how bad it was.

Well President Obama... you spent a year of campaigning telling us you knew how to fix it if you were elected.

President Barack Obama said Tuesday he wishes he knew the full extent of the economic crisis when he took office, if only so he could have let Americans know just how tough the coming years would be.

"I think we understood that it was bad, but we didn’t know how bad it was,” Obama said in an interview with KIRO in Seattle. "I think I could have prepared the American people for how bad this was going to be, had we had a sense of that."

Hey... what can you say when you have the Democratic Party Chairperson, Debbie Wasaman Schultz, making statements like this...

PHOENIX, December 13, 2011 — Florida representative and Democratic National Committee chair, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, has again embarrassed herself with a ridiculous statement.

On Monday, Fox News host Gretchen Carlson told Representative Schultz (D-Fla), “Unemployment has gone up precipitously since he [Obama] took office.” Schultz responded, “That is simply not true. In fact, unemployment has now dropped below 9%. It's continuing to drop.”

This is just another twist on the "blame Bush first" message.

The president has the very best resources at his disposal- the best data and (supposedly) the most talented "advisors" available in the world.

If you buy this crap I got some really good deals on some swampland in Florida that are sure to boom this next year!

I bet Obama still thinks he can win the election in 2012- the democrats were predicting a solid win for Carter in 1980- and the truth was a landslide in favor of Reagan.

Unfortunately, in 1980 there was a strong republican to run against the weak Democrat.

In 2012, the best anyone can hope for is a 'lesser of two idiots' decision.

:thumbsup: I can't decided if I am more jaded this time around, but I thought the Republicans had better choices in 2008.

Incumbents tend to have certain advantages and I don't see enough of a groundswell to throw Pesident Barack Hussein Obama out of office.

We have better choices, we just ignore them. We seem to prefer idealogues who feed our anger rather than serious men and women who want what's best for the nation as a whole. If we have crappy politicians it's because of who we choose. It makes me so angry.

We have the very best man for the job running- but somehow the media has everyone convinced that he is a kook.

He's the only guy who's been saying government needs to be limited in scope to it's original intended functions.

He's the only guy who's been calling for a smaller limited government for 25 years.

It's Ron Paul. And he is the only candidate who would seek to reduce the size of the federal government- and really mean it.

It absolutely has to be done for America if it is ever to recover from this massive debt we are in- it's the only way it can be done- cut the size of government and grow the economy while paying down the debt.
