"The Magic of the Tim Tebow Saga "

I think an interesting even if overblown take.

.................."Feelings about Mr. Tebow have been a litmus test of political and social identity. If you think he's destined to be a winner, you must be a naive evangelical. If you question his long-term chances as an NFL quarterback, you must hate people who love Jesus".........................................................................................................................................."But in a broader political sense, Tim Tebow is teaching America a lesson that we once learned, but now appears lost. In a society that is consumed by belief in the power of the collective, he is a testament to the often underestimated potential of the individual, and proof that individual success can lead to the success of those around him. I am not or have ever been a big football fan. What fascinates me about this story is the cultural component.

It is closely akin to rugged individualism or the path "less traveled by, and that has made all the difference".

There is much more to Tebow than football and his faith. He simply is a fundamentally find human being. Just noted now that Carter of NE got carted off after being injured and Tebow was there to offer his acknowledgment, namely, hooeyou are OK.

I couldn't give two sh*ts... I don't pay attention to sports at all. I was simply making an observation. I don't hate him, I don't love him, I wouldn't care if he died. Why am I suppose to love or hate him. Can't I just have an opinion? Oh... I know... I'm not really a man if I don't like sports. I should be hanging off a tailgate right now, drunk off my ass, waving a orange tee shirt... and getting ready to run someone over on the road on my way home.

Oh... be careful on the roads in the morning... Bronco fans get nasty the next morning after a lost.
