Only 68?

Congress fixes wall street by putting government employees to work on generating studies.

We now have a new sector of our economy - the study economy!

Are any of those studies slated to recommend how to fix Fannie and Freddie so that future taxpayers don't have to bail them out anymore?

No, That would require an additional study.

An (older) side-by-side comparison of House vs Senate versions of the bill. Senate passed it, now they must be reconciled.

I see a few mentions of studies needed in skimming summaries, etc., but the bills are more than just a call for studies.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

Studies, commissions and loop-holes.

Are there not already a bunch of organizations and think tanks studying public policy and publishing massive amounts of articles?

I would rather see action and pilot programs to see what works. We elect officials to make decisions and policy, not kick the can down the road some more.

Of course with these rookies in charge right now I am more comfortable with studies and kicking the can because they are bound to screw up anything and everything they do.
