Why the right wing is wrong on taxes

Yeah, that's why 72% of the American people agree that the 1% should pay more:

"Both a NY Times/CBS poll and one from ABC News/Washington Post say 72% of adults responded that they approve of increasing federal taxes on households making over a quarter of a million dollars."

Well thank goodness we are not a democracy and we do not let the tyranny of the majority unfairly impose on the minority. That's the way this country and our constitution was designed to work... and it is... even though there are socialist who would like to play by a different set of rules.

I know a lot of people who think taxes should be 90% on anything over $1 million. Their opinion is that $1 million is enough per year, and the rest should be given to everyone else. Our president himself has said "at some point haven't you made enough money?", although that doesn't stop him from earning his millions. Notice he hasn't gone to donating 90% of his riches to charity. Nope, keeps it for himself.

Good point ...if Obama wanted to be seen as a real leader who practices what he preached, he would make would great point by giving all his excess to a good cause. Just think of how heroic he would look in the eyes of the OWS crowd. That would probably make millionaires like Michael Moore mad because they too would have to put their money where their mouth is or be seen as the hypocrites they are.

No, actually it wouldn't because Michael Moore said in an interview ON THE AIR, that he SHOULD be paying more taxes... The only hypocrisy I see is yours.

The point is what Obama said about at some point you've made enough. If he and Moore believe they've made enough (which they obviously don't believe) then they should voluntarily save a poor village in Africa or some other good cause. A leader leads by example and the statements he makes should be backed up by action.

I see, so Michael Moore only trusts the government to distribute the excess cash he doesn't need.....makes sense when we're talking about a big government liberal. I'm sure he has a seperate account for all the excess money he plans to pass on the the government as soon as they ask for it.
