I find it interesting that there does not seem to be much being said about how this was not a private vote, but rather quite public. If you are in front of other people in your church, you are less likely to give your true opinion, rather the one that will be the most popular or will have the least negative effect on your in your community.

Not saying the system should change, they can do whatever they want, but we should take it with a mouthfull of salt. Does anyone really think Santorum will be president?

It would be interesting to take 500 Iowans and have them Caucus the night before the actual election and then look at how those same people voted in the election. I bet there are some differences, big ones at that.

Also does anyone know if younger people participate at the same rate as older ones. Just seems like 125k is not that many people and could be certain groups, which does not represent.

The median age reported yesterday was 60+. It might have skewed lower this year because of the Ron Paul factor, but the vote did take place before kids were back on campus.

Are Perry and Bachmann now out? And will Palin slip in? Looks like Romney spent a lot of money per vote.

"The Big Takeaway From Iowa: 75% Of Republicans Don’t Want Mitt Romney"

And I agree- do we want to elect a big government republican? Seems to me that was exactly what we had with Bush.
We need a conservative and I will not vote for a RINO ever again.
Ever.

This is why the tea party people have been useful to the republican establishment. Great job!
Romney will be your nominee. How does it feel to be so used and discarded after the primaries? Chumps!

It ain't over till it's over- but if Romney is the guy- I guess you liberals win another 4 years because it won't matter a hoot if Obama wins or not- the big government machine will keep chugging along!

And me? I'll vote for the Libertarian.

McCain is endorsing Romney! That endorsement might bring new energy to the Perry campaign.

And for you libertarians, anti-big goverment people, Ron Paul scored above 20%. And I think he will still be on the ballot for the Colorado caucuses.

Perry will stay in through New Hampshire, where he'll have another dismal showing, and then decide to endorse another candidate and head back to Texas.
