Do you know what is really sick? The fact that commenters like Hayek and Arlen will publicly admit to not worrying about racism and anti-semitism. It's not my concern if Hayek and Arlen are racists or anti-semites. They are both little people, living in their own little cloistered world, with their not so private hates, but all in all, worthless and not really capable of causing much trouble themselves. My concern is not whether you they give minorities a fair position in our society, or whether they think Jews run the world or something like that. If you want to see real intolerance, go visit Africa where the Christian/Islamic battles are heating up. Mubarak was a real goon in Egypt, but the Coptic Christians felt much safer than they do now.
Libya is experiencing the same thing per NPR. Kadaffi kept his Isalmic fundamentalists in check and nowdays these radicals are starting to oppress the women who had more freedom than traditional Islamic cultures.
