I think that if it's not appropriate to wear to school, it's not appropriate in the yearbook. It's been a few years since my kids were in High School but I remember when the new principal came in and instituted the 'pasta' rule ... no spaghetti or linguini but lasagna straps were fine. I'm relatively certain that baring of midriff isn't permitted either.
There was a time when kids were required to look respectful at school because they were there to learn and not to advertise their bodies. I suspect the mother gas a gold pole in her bedroom as well.
I was being nice in that I substituted stripper for something else.
Judgmental? I'll take that. Call me opinionated too. I don't like the way the kids dress on Toddlers and Tiaras either.
And if she gets raped dressed like that... is that her fault too?
Would you be happy if your daughter was dressed like that in her yearbook? You make a dumbass deflection.
I didn't deflect anything. The girl is 18 years old. 2wlady went much further than just saying that she believed the outfit was inappropriate. She was being nice... she really wanted to say the girl looked like a whore. That's far from just an inappropriate outfit. This is the mentality that excuses things like rape. And I wouldn't be "happy" if my daughter dressed like that. But if she was 18 years old, I would give her my opinion.. but I wouldn't suggest to her that she looked like a stripper... or a hooker. I would respect my daughter much more than that.
