What is the water equivalent of all this snow so far?
Where are we at now for snow pack levels for the North Fork and Bear Creek Basins?

Just measured this snows water density and it came out right at 10%, so
Every 10 inches of snow equals 1 inch of water...

I was just out measuring after I got home. I got 21.5 inches. I'm happy. The dogs are happy. The pacas, not so much.

When I was a girl we used to make snow ice cream. But they said we can't do that anymore.

Who is they? I have friends on FB that made peppermint snow ice cream today. I was expecting it to be pink, but it's green in the photo they posted.

Safe treat
According to snow research done at Brigham Young University, there is no need to tell children not to eat snow as long as it is fresh. The pristine snow that has just fallen through the air and landed on the ground is not going to be dangerous or unhealthy according to the BYU study.
“I’m surprised there isn’t more information,” said Tammy Roberts, a nutrition and health specialist with University of Missouri Extension. “Frankly, a lot of it is conflicting. Basically, I’d say treat it like other desserts — eat it in moderation.”
