Russia & China rejected us and euro calls for Syrian beleaguered leader Assad to step down. Putin has actually been sending weapons to the dictator to further assault his people. Hopefully it backfires and Assad goes down and the new democracy refuses to do business with the ruskies.

All GCC nations (the wealthy Arabs) pulled diplomatic staff out of Syria, and invited Syrian diplomats to leave their respective countries.

Joining the exodus:
- USA
- UK
- France
- Spain
- Italy

(I doubt the list is done)

Congrats to the gulf countries, make a pariah out of Assad. Or offer him exile?

I dont't think Syria or Russia is a military threat to us but Assad has now killed more of his people than kadaffy. Where is Europe and the Usa? Playing with sanctions still.

Someone should ask our president why the people of Libya were more important than the people of Syria. Not only do we pick winners and losers in business, we also do it with oppressive regimes.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

The Russians are providing direct support to Syria, it's an election year, and I think this fight is a little too big for the President's taste.

Good point. Should we be allocating assets to Syria when they might be needed in the Persian Gulf to deal with Iran?
