Perhaps they will review/discuss all of GOPtwin's posts so they can learn how to be better protesters. Perhaps they already did and that is why they are organizing more.

You meant the thread title ("For those that wanted OWS to be more consistent/organized") as a joke... right? Did you read the article closely... let's look at the consistency and organization mentioned in the article.
1) ... a dozen working groups on issues like “food justice” and “arts and culture”
2) ... Around the country, small demonstrations — often focused on banks and ending foreclosure evictions
3) ... who were supporting a State Senate resolution to remove American soldiers from Afghanistan
4) ... She led a rally near Pike Place Market against steam incinerators
5) ... "People have different goals,” Ms. Rainey said. “Mine is, we’ve got to build a movement that will replace the type of government we have now.”
6) ... against corporations accused of working against the public interest
The most telling comment in the article "people could “take action on whatever issue is important to them[/i], whether economic justice, the environment or peace.”"
This is consistent and organized?[/i] I don' think so.

You nailed it...they admit that there still is no defined message after all these months. They are saying that anything is on the table to protest against....so it looks like we'll just have a permanent group of people protesting about whatever for an indefinite period of time. Good luck with that.

Just a thought: do you guys really think that we were all that organized when we started fighting the British for our independence? Yes, we have access to better communication tools now; however, there was resistance to seceding from Great Britain b/c of fear of the unknown and a desire to maintain the status quo for those upper echelon. This movement isn't about being against one piece of legislation, or for any one party so it is inherently going to be messier and more disorganized, but that is also it's strength. Those who are against it can't put out a cute little bullet point list of why they're wrong, all they can do is complain about them "trashing" the areas they protest in, or that they are "disorganized" and have no "real goals". Their goals are going up against the richest, most powerful, entrenched people in our political and corporate system to end the corruption that has settled in, against those who have been working together for decades to slowly erode the freedoms and social mobility that we historically had enjoyed. This will not be pretty, it will not end quickly, and it is necessary.
They have a clue, what they lack is the "how" and a charismatic leader to focus everyone.
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

Focus on which issue? I think protests are great if you know exactly what you are protesting, but they seem to be all over the place. And with all the Hollywood "talent" out there that usually supports anything that has a hint of unfairness, why hasn't there been one who steps up and takes the lead? Where is Michael Moore other than making an appearance at a rally or two?
The problem they have is that they seem to want every injustice they perceive to be satisfied in some way. I'd love to see world peace...will I ever? No.
I know you are a very bright and logical person SC...if you were a spokesperson for this group, how would you address all these many grievances into one coherent speech? Even when it started to just protest Wall Street, there was no solution presented.

They won't have a charismatic leader. According to their own "mission" statement(s) (more than one statement, depends what you read, where you read it, and when you read it... they are unorganized, so it keeps changing) they are a leaderless group. How to you rectify that with what you just said? And I didn't put out a "cute" bullet list of why they were wrong, I put out a truthful bullet list of statements from the Occupy movement themselves which show they are unorganized. And these folks don't have any "status quo". I've seen and talked to them in person. Many of them wouldn't even know what the word means.
It appears that you are projecting your wishes and desires onto a pallet that is bereft of the necessary components. Right now it's just a collection of soft anarchists... and anarchist are always the tools of the "other" elites who want to have the wealth and power transfered to them. You're little history lesson is tunneled-visioned... there is a lot more history and lessons to be learned from the last 300 years... I feel like you are missing some of it.
