The flaw in that cartoon is that it implies you should be a sap and not take any deductions, and pay high marginal rates. Lower the marginal rates and many would be happy to skip the deductions and credits.

How do YOU know he is making that assumption about every one of them? Kind of like the cartoons that portray everyone in the OWS movement as lazy hippies that are jobless by choice?

Of course, because the inexperienced community organizer hired by America has totally bungled the economic recovery plan.
If the Dems had picked someone who at least understood economics, maybe we wouldn't need an expanded safety net.
