Back on topic: Sue can afford her house because of the mortgage tax deduction? Consider this, the mortgage tax deduction keeps home prices artificially high and mainly helps people with jumbo loans. So the goverment isn't making things better, it is creating a false bubble.
The college loan? Another bubble created because Sallie Mae will hand out loans so universities know they can keep raising tuitions.
If banks were handing out loans, they wouldn't be as likely to give you 200K to study 18th century German literature and you wouldn't have 200K in debt and an unbankable degree.
You might even choose to go into engineering that actually will pay off your student loan.

Where have we heard all this before?

"Will you not organize a share-our-wealth society in your community tonight or tomorrow to place this plan into law? You need it; your people need it. Write me, wire to me; get into this work with us if you believe we are right. Help to save humanity. Help to save this country. If you wish a copy of this speech or a copy of any other speech I have made, write me and it will be forwarded to you. You can reach me always in Washington, D. C."

No Googling now...

Speaking of Tea Party :Whistle

[center:1zp93n5q]Thursday night February 16th Beaver Ranch. Gather at 6:30 Meeting starts at 7PM
We are having Justin Everett as our main speaker. Justin is a bright young attorney who has not yet written a book. He has written several great articles on this year’s legislative session, which We've asked him to speak about. Justin is also a candidate for State House District 22 Representative. Even if you are not in his district I think you’ll find this to be an informative and entertaining evening[/center:1zp93n5q].

And.....

If you attended last week's GOP caucus we would like to about your experience. If what I've heard is true there was quite a turnout.

You might get a chance to meet Sue. :woo hoo:

Gee, I'll put it on my calendar, if I can finish flossing the cat and sorting the silverware drawer in time....

Do you have a drawing to see which minority group you want to sh*t on next month?

The basic premise is flawed in the cartoon, and shows the vast cavern which makes up the difference between the liberals and conservatives. Liberals (and this cartoonist) assumes all your income belongs to govt, and you are lucky to keep any. Sue's parents didn't receive any freebies in this example, they are just allowed to keep more of their own $$.

Too bad future generations aren't here to see all the great things we are spending their $$ on!!

Huh, I wonder why taxes were left out of this cute little cartoon? Makes it look the the government is just so caring and giving as if IT creates money and not the working people of this country...FAIL.

I am sure you forgot some, that list looks a little short....but don't forget the IDIOTS who pay for these and their private goods with credit cards which raise the price of everything by about 3%...this includes every retail good, most bills paid and govt taxes at this point as they are forced onto the internet and CC works easier. Many small businesses pay for all their goods before you get them with CC, so that's ANOTHER 3% as their vendors want fast and secure payment. Terms are getting few and few and are being replaced with the CC....so many companies used to do net 30,60,90 ...you must pay in full in that many days from shipment, no interest. Now they can outsource this risk to your CC and you pay 1-2% per month plus that exchange 3-4%. That's the best case. 1-2% for processing (2x for many small businesses), 1% for people that charge back BS (google it and double it for small businesses), 1% for paperwork processing and monthly fees (double that for small businesses easily). 4%x2 is more like it. 1 every $20 moved around is skimmed into CC processing (could say 1/25 if things are processed 1x, 1/12 if 2x so I split and weighted towards 1x) - and you barely notice or complain....not to mention the time we allow the govt to debate at no end bank card and credit card regs - and heck, have they not moved to these cards for welfare systems too - arrg. This is almost as big as any of those taxes, has the same effects, and is completely voluntary. But DON"T worry, I know that we won't even have a discussion about this, we are too busy calling people liberals and conservatives (who are going to take SS and schooling even if they don't need it). This will be ignored as if we are employees of banks. Don't forget the other cost of CC's, check's have more than doubled in recent years, they cost give or take 2/$1, just for that little pcs of paper you write out. This is because damand is about 50% and Harland will not give up profit, so they doubled prices. Kinda cool how business works and how everything is passed along, even lack of business. Employees/workers pay for everything in the end, including, but not limited to that entire list of taxes or the business or govt fails.
