Aug. 2, 2007: Sen. Barack Obama makes a simple promise he will often repeat to loud domestic -- and foreign -- applause during his $750 million presidential campaign:
"As President, I will close Guantanamo, reject the Military Commissions Act and adhere to the Geneva Conventions."
Way to go Barry! You sure knocked this one out of the park!
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian." - Henry Ford
Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus
Recall, one of Obama's early orders was to fully embrace redention - that is if a suspect is a possible terrorist you could wind up in a hell hole in Egypt or Devils Island for "discussions". GITMO is a paradise in comparison.
