The REAL Reason Cons Are Ruining The Country: Star Trek!

03 Mar 2012 17:31 - 04 Mar 2012 06:11 #1 by LadyJazzer

Great Montgomery Scott! I’ve figured it out! Ever since I started paying attention to politics, I’ve been trying to answer one single question: Why do conservatives want to make things worse? And the answer is: Star Trek. No, seriously! Right now, it’s blatantly obvious they are trying to make the United States a worse place to live. Just take a look at what they’ve been fighting for just these last three years:

* Roll back the EPA – Because who wouldn’t want to suck down more pollution from large factories?
* Roll back the FDA – What’s a little extra ground glass and rat sh*t in your baby’s strained carrots between friends?
* Invade Iran – Why the hell not? Sounds like a blast!
* End Medicare – Screw old people! If they’re so interested in living longer, let them pay for it themselves!
* End Social Security – Screw old people! If they’re so interested in not living on the streets, let them pay for it themselves!
* End Medicaid – We’re only pro-life until that baby is born. After that, we don’t want to have to pay for it if you’re poor.
* Privatize public education – Edukashun shuld onlee before peeple width munny!
* Expand the military – Why? So we can keep the eternal war going on Oceania. Or Eastasia. Orwell would be so proud…
* Let the 1% get richer – It’s been over thirty years. That trickle down has to start sooner or later!
* Let the 99% get poorer – And then blame them for not being rich!
* Put religion BACK into government – Because that worked out so well in the Dark Ages and speaking of the Dark Ages…

Honestly, this list could go on forever. Page upon page of things the Right wants to get rid of that have measurably improved our lives or things they want to do that cannot conceivably make things better, only worse.

It’s an extension of the “steak rule”:

“A conservative cannot enjoy their steak unless they know that someone, somewhere cannot have a steak of their own.”

[T]oday’s conservatives cannot stand the idea that someone else could have a better life at what they perceive to be their expense. It’s the underlying philosophy of everything they do these days.

Funny... Kind of sums it up with a nod to Star Trek...

Let's use up all of the resources today so that the next generations will be forced to fend for themselves... (greedy bastards...)

Sure we already are spending $3 for every $2 we bring in, lets make it 5 to 2 like Greece. China will bail us out, or our grandkids

***The insight displayed in this post exceeds my capacity to express myself, but carry on happy warrior, continue to spread the word far and wide. The county needs you.

It might be funny if it wasn't so damn true. There is a fine line between comedy and tragedy....if the conservatives take over and push through their agenda, it will be a tragedy, and no one will be laughing.

I intend to. I intend to shout it from the rooftops; vote against any candidate who thinks that's the solution; and contribute to as many candidates as I can that are working to make sure it doesn't get implemented.

That's why I'm [happily] not a teabagger.

Good to see that LJ and archer have participated in their "Two Minute Hate" for the day like good little subjects are required to do. Big Brother must be so proud of them.

Or after November, will it be Cons are running the country?
If you notice, the expected nominee, Romney, hasn't been running on social conservative issues.
