Since international disputes seem to be getting lots of air time, these days - lets ask our soldiers who they support.
From FEC:
Campaign contributions from individuals listing "Department of Defense" as employer
Barack Obama $79828
Ron Paul $26255
Mitt Romney $10288
Rick Perry $5900
Rick Santorum $4480
Newt Gingrich $3275
Michelle Bachmann $1059
Seems the military is more clear-headed than the electorate.
(Ron Paul would be my own favorite - although I'd carefully consider Romney or Obama)
Why would anyone throw money at any GOP candidate that may not be the nominee? Obama is guaranteed to be the Dem candidate, but as we all know, the GOP candidate has been more uncertain than any time I can think of.
Unless you believe that the majority of military personnel are left leaning, this really doesn't mean anything imo. It would be a better measurement once the GOP guy is picked.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
"Care to guess who the soldiers like?"
Not really...If there comes a time where they become a influential voting block then we have way too many soldiers..way too many people on the public payroll..
Not only soldiers (I take that to mean members of all branches of the service--Air Force=Airmen; Marines=Marines; Navy=Sailors; and Coast Guard (though they aren't DoD)=Coastguardsmen), work for the Department of Defense...there are more civilians that work for the DoD than there are uniform-wearing military.
