Iraqi teens stoned to death for wearing 'emo' clothes

BAGHDAD -- At least 14 youths have been stoned to death in Baghdad in the past three weeks in what appears to be a campaign by Shiite militants against youths wearing Western-style "emo" clothes and haircuts, security and hospital sources say.

Militants in Shiite neighborhoods where the stonings have taken place circulated lists on Saturday naming more youths targeted to be killed if they do not change the way they dress.

Democracy? Shouldn't that read Iraqi intolerance? American democracy shouldn't be condemned because the KKK is still active.

Who is talking about "American" democracy?

If you want to condemn Iraqi democracy, the story of ho w the Shiite president put out an arrest warrant on his Sunni VP, that shows you how messed up their republic is.

There are many stories to be told concerning Iraq and freedom, justice, civility, etc. They can never be a civilized society which can stand freedom and democracy.

Nope, not liberal, just tired of the war, the expense, and the veterans coming home with shattered psyches and bodies.
