For the same reason the right was quiet when Bush did it, and has been whining about the same thing ever since Obama took office. As I said, hypocrisy is the norm around here...but you may be able to prove me wrong (I doubt it though).

For once I agree with you... " hypocrisy is the norm around here"... no kidding... and while you're at it... look in a mirror.

Hate to break it to you but this story has nothing to do with politics or a political party, no matter how much you try to make it so.

There were some Bush defenders here, but he was attacked from both sides pretty hard during his 8 years. I think Dems aren't as willing to eat their own.

What Clinton did was also a dick head move, but I don't think any President should automatically be impeached because he cheated. JFK cheated all the time! Clinton hurt his wife and daughter too and I couldn't stand that aspect of him and what he did. I'm sure "many people on the left" felt the same way. It's not a political thing in my opinion. No matter what party you are in (or none at all) you are an a** for cheating. Period.

Clinton was not impeached because he cheated. He was impeached because he lied while under oath in a matter that was material before a court of law. He was required to relinquish his license to practice law for the exact same reason by the Supreme Court of Arkansas. He committed perjury while he was the executive of the federal government. Having taken an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution he swore a false oath to tell the truth in a matter before a court of law for the purposes of usurping the power of the court to administer justice according to the law. That's what he was impeached for.

All true, but I really shouldn't have brought up Clinton...not very relevant to this story. Sorry, my bad.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

OK, how about Tiger Woods as another example of a guy who proceeded to make life embarrasing for his wife and kids? His poor wife actually left the US for a few months just to escape all the tabloid covers and paparazzi.

And the other sad part, Tiger had a father who was a serial philanderer and he pledged to not be that way. Genetics? Enviroment?

One thing Mr Woods did right was protect his wife by lying that she didn't go after him with a golf club.

You're right and thank you for the correction because I had totally forgot that. Thanks PS!
