Perhaps you can provide proof where the Federal government is bailing out Detroit. Last I heard that was a function of the State of Michigan and the City of Detroit.

Detroit is a name for the domestic auto industry. Even if most manufacturing has left the motor city. Chrysler even runs a series of ads saying their cars are imported from Detroit.
