Those wacky Supremes just held that even if you are mistakenly arrested for not paying a traffic ticket, the police can subject you to an invasive body cavity strip search!
Given the state of the economy and the lack of funding local gubments are suffering from it should come as no surprise that the police are issuing more tickets and arresting people that don't pay. As for the strip searches, I guess the police aren't going to just take your word for it anymore when you tell them you're broke, they are are going to double check to make sure you don't has any cash "tucked away" for a rainy day...

Where does it say body cavity searches are allowed? I agree this is humiliating for minor offenses, but lets get the facts understood.
The majority and dissenting opinions on Monday agreed that the search procedures the decision allowed — close visual inspection by a guard while naked — were more intrusive than being observed while showering, but did not involve bodily contact.

I'm still trying to decide which is worse, being naked in front of a guard, or sharing a prison cell with some thug who hasn't been searched. Maybe we should demand higher taxes to pay for guaranteed private jail cells for all!

Bring this issue to the local elected representatives
get it fixed there. Do not elect those that support a "police state". They will pay attention. Also cut the budgets of the police, etc. We do have input in this manner.
